Viennese Cherry Walnut Strudel w/ Amaretto Whipped Cream

Had a blast making this simple but irresistibly delicious treat from Austria for Mom’s birthday dinner party.

If you can’t read through the dough, it’s not Austrian.

A baking towel is crucial for rolling the strudel.  Not having one (yet), mine began tearing midway barely making it to the oven.  A Lucky recovery.

Gold Brown cherry-walnut strudel. Cinnamon mini-strudel made from scraps.
